Hi, I'm Stefan Schuster

I'm a software developer working for Irian Solutions, and the man behind Mind42, Spaaze and SimpleMeet.me

While my current expertise is everything related to browser technologies (JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, ...) I would call myself an all purpose developer. I started with PHP/MySQL, did some years of C++ cross platform UIs (wxWidgets, QT) and am now doing the cool fancy new stuff (JavaScript, Node.js, CoffeeScript, CouchDB, Redis, ...). Besides the programming I also do most of the design myself (Spaaze, Mind42, SimpleMeet.me all designed by me) and parts of the infrastructure (Spaaze, SimpleMeet.me).

In my humble opinion my main strength is that I'm a quick learner. Throw me at any new technology and I'll be able to do reasonable work with it within a month.

Started work on another new service: SimpleMeet.me

Always wanted to have a chat in Mind42 and Spaaze, therefore it's the perfect research project for it. But besides that a colleague of mine had the cool idea of doing something like TeamViewer for chats. We'll see how that works out.

I've started to work on a new web project called Spaaze. It will be a virtual cork board. My idea is, that I want to have some kind of space, where I can put various of my different online stuff onto. Like RSS feeds, images, Youtube videos, notes, ...
Like Mixing a desktop with Evernote and putting a little bit of Dropbox in it...

Hey ya. You might have seen the progress on Spaaze. Everything goes pretty well so far.
But don't fear: Mind42 is still alive. Development efforts are of course focused on Spaaze, but we still maintain and support Mind42. Also, as planned for now: Mind42 will continue to be free and we'll introduce paid virtual machine appliances next year.
